Minecraft Camp
About the camp:
Mon-Fri hours 9am-2pm
Afternoon hours 2pm-6pm (optional in addition or in place of mornings)
location: Ivy Green School (home-based school), near the Shallowford and Briarlake intersection in NE Atlanta
space limited to six children
bring your own lunch; yogurt snack and bottled water provided
student ages 6-9, any gender
cost 145 per child for the week; additional 55 for full day, for the week
Students must bring their own electronics with Minecraft installed; laptops are recommended, for a more complete experience; tablets are accepted.
This is a class for beginners and will introduce the children to the exciting environment of Minecraft, crafting, mining, learning about Minecraft worlds and creatures. Multi-player game time will also be presented, where children can explore the same world together. The topics will be customized to the learning speed and interests of each student, moving to more advanced learning as the week progresses.
About the instructors:
Roy(10) and Mary(8) are enthusiastic and knowledgeable Minecraft players with a passion for introducing others to the fun and learning of the game. They have a solid Montessori background and are looking forward to hosting this special week!
The camp will be supervised by Roy and Mary’s Physics-PhD holding, homeschooling mother 🙂
